Yes. Attendees will need to bring their own cameras. You have to know how to set your camera on self-timer.
Yes, a sturdy tripod is required for long exposure photography.
The exposure time in this class is mostly 30 seconds.
Shutter release cables are optional as long as you can start your camera on a self timer.
The self timer of any camera can be set in the "Drive Mode".
However, it doesn't hurt to bring a shutter release cable if you already have one. Having a shutter release cable allows you to shoot on the Bulb Mode and control the exposure time manually to shoot beyond 30 seconds.
Both locations are flat grounds, no hiking is required
We will send you a video clip after the workshop to show you how to edit the photos in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Please pack light and dress warmly.
If the weather report suggested that there would be rain 3 hours before the workshop, then it will be postponed.

Accessories needed for Long Exposure Photography
(Learn these basics in the Intermediate II Workshop)
1. Your adaptor ring needs to match the size of your lens. For example, if your lens is a 77mm diameter one, the adaptor ring needs to be the same size (77mm).
2. Your filter holder needs to fit in the filter. For example, if your filter is a 100mm x 100mm one, then your filter holder needs to be exactly 100mm wide. Please check the spec of the accessories before you purchase.
To capture sharp images, we recommend you to invest around $180-$350 for a good tripod.
Carbon fibre tripods are lighter but the aluminum ones (heavier) have better stability in windy conditions.
